The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Punjab were held on 1 June 2024 (Phase 7). Results were declared on 4 June 2024. The INDIA alliance (INC + AAP) dominated, while BJP drew a blank despite fielding candidates on all 13 seats.

INC's Strong Comeback

Congress won 7 out of 13 seats - its best performance in Punjab since 2019. The party secured 35,43,824 votes (26.30% vote share), beating AAP by a razor-thin margin in vote share.

BJP Blank in Punjab

Despite fielding candidates in all 13 seats and securing 25,00,877 votes (18.56%), the BJP drew a complete blank - winning zero seats. Its best performances were in Ludhiana, Patiala, and some Doaba segments.

Independent Surprises

Radical preacher Amritpal Singh (from Dibrugarh jail) won Khadoor Sahib with 4,04,430 votes. Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa (son of Beant Singh's assassin) won Faridkot with 2,98,062 votes - both as independents.

INC Led in 37 Assembly Segments

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, INC led in 37 out of 117 assembly segments across Punjab - up significantly from its 18-seat tally in the 2022 Vidhan Sabha.
